The Deftones were here in Las Vegas headlining the Holdiday Havoc show, along with Papa Roach, Unwritten Law, Lost Prophets, and a local band named Otherwise. I took a weekend vacation for this concert because of the lineup, and also my sister lives there in Vegas so I went to visit her and introduced her to a Deftones concert. So obviously I only went to the show mainly for the Deftones and they were by far the best band there, well in my opinion. Well onto the show, I arrived there during Lost Prophets set and they had were better than what i expected. Unwritten Law was pretty awesome and I've seen them before and they're a great band to check out live. Papa Roach is what got the crowd started, mosh pits began to get larger and bigger, this band was meant to perform live, in my opinion they sound better live than on a cd. Now onto the Deftones set, Stef was the 1st to come out and a long intro was done for the 1st song Feiticeira. Then the rest of the band came out into a huge ovation from the crowd. Chino has the same ramp on stage that he's been using for a while now, great energy from him and for those who care, he looks like he's in great shape. Stef and Chi had a great amount of energy that really made them stand out. Abe was outstanding on the drums. Frank was great incorporating the sounds into each song, i noticed that during Beware he added more of the cricket sounds than what was originally on the song, but it came out great. They had more energy than any other time I've seen them, they must be really glad to finally have Saturday Night Wrist come out cause they were high spirited and energetic throughout the entire concert. Any Deftones fan needs to check them out while they can during this tour. Well thankfully I'm going to watch them again in my hometown of Albuquerque, NM so I'll have a review of that show also.
