Deftones add two huge shows to summer 2025 UK tour plans

Deftones have announced two more outdoor UK shows for summer 2025 – you can find all the details below.

Last month saw the band confirm a big gig at Crystal Palace Park in London on June 29. They’ll be joined at that show by Weezer, High Vis and more.

Today (December 10), it has been revealed that Deftones will also be taking to the stage at The Piece Hall in Halifax on June 24 as part of the historic venue’s summer concert series.

Additionally, Chino Moreno and co. are scheduled to play at the Eden Project in Cornwall on June 26 for the 2025 Eden Sessions.

Rita Broe, managing director of the Eden Sessions, said: “Deftones are one of the most exciting, innovative and powerful live bands in the world and it is a privilege to welcome them to the Eden Sessions.

“We know there is a lot of love in the south west for this band so it’s fantastic to be able to bring genuine legends to the Eden Project.”

Tickets for the Halifax show go on general sale at 10am GMT this Friday (December 13), with tickets for the Cornwall date going live at 9am GMT that same day. You’ll be able to buy yours here.

Pre-sale options are available for both headline events – see Ticketmaster and the below posts for more information.

These new dates currently mean that Deftones are available for a potential slot at Glastonbury Festival 2025 – which takes place between June 25-29. They are free for an appearance on either the Friday or Saturday, as it stands.

The only act to have been officially confirmed for next year’s festival is Rod Stewart, who will take on the coveted Legend Slot. However, Nile Rodgers has since let slip that he and Chic have been lined up for a performance on the Pyramid Stage – immediately after Stewart’s set. The first Glastonbury line-up poster usually arrives in March.

Deftones’ other summer tour dates include Primavera Sound Porto, Rock Werchter and Roskilde.

The group are the fourth act to be announced for the 2025 Eden Sessions following Gary Barlow (June 18), The Script (25) and Madness (July 12). More artists will be added to the bill soon, according to organisers.

Halifax’s Piece Hall, meanwhile, has also confirmed the likes of Weezer, Khruangbin, The Libertines, Faithless and Pendulum for next year’s edition.

In September 2023, Deftones teased an upcoming full-length album – potentially slated for a 2024 release – which would follow on from 2020’s ‘Ohms’. Guitarist Stephen Carpenter said at the time that the group were “starting to work on new material for a new record”.

This April, Deftones gave fans an update on the forthcoming full-length project. “[We] have a whole record recorded all musically,” explained Moreno. “And it’s pretty much my job right now to finish up the vocals.”

But the vocalist said he didn’t want to “put a definite timeframe” on the album’s release, adding: “We’re not really in a rush. We want it to be great. I think that’s most important. But it is coming, and, yeah – it’s really good.”
